Art Austria opened on the 10th of April in Leopold Museum in Vienna. With an exclusive focus on austrian art it creates an interesting mixture within this border, of modern and contemporary art.
The selection of paintings is most satisfying and Art Austria proves itself as a good place for those in search of a small or big “treasure” to hang on the wall. The selection of sculptures has also proved most challenging, with pieces raging from wood, porcelain, plastic (polypropylene) and bronze, which in the works of Mario Dalpra seems almost as “made of plastic” due to the over layers of paint. The big bronze man figure of Louis Anvidalfarei are even appropriate for the garden or a small park, if one can indulge himself in such.
